Niykee who's had an eventful few years, including getting picked by Snoop to sing with Snoop at the YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee has a regular songwriting routine despite all this. Being a magnet for producers, Niykee has a constant eye on the numerous beats being sent to her. She has found that the majority are a source of new song ideas. It's easy to tell when a beat's excellent after just five seconds. Then I'll have a song in my head, and I'll start writing right away she tells. My lyrics come to me when I'm on my deck, playing guitar. It usually takes less than 30 minutes. Niykee is continuing to improve her skills as a poet and lyricist. She explains how the pain she experienced during her childhood has served as an infinite source of unusual inspiration. She says that even when she's not composing about the things which have actually happened the pain through her childhood and grief over the loss of her daughter find it's way into her music. My music is formed by this and I can feel the deeper meaning underneath every single thing. That's one of the aspects that are most significant for me.
