To be able to spend time with her parents and brothers who were avid golfers Anna began playing golf as a passion. Anna was only sixteen when her modeling career started. When she was just 16 Anna won her first Dolly Magazines Cover Contest and she has been modeling ever since. It's not all about how you look. Dianna Rawson was in a downward spiral of depression at the time Anna was growing into. Her father Jim Rawson and her mother Dianna Rawson got divorced. Dianna suffered from depression and was placed in a mental ward during a time after seeking assistance from a hospital was able to commit suicide when Anna was five years old and left her family distraught and brokenhearted. Anna was born into a family that was difficult. She had to adapt to the new norm of life without a mother. It was an awful experience that every child shouldn't have to go through. Jim Rawson was the greatest supporter, and she grew to be extremely close to him. Jim Rawson, a former Glenelg footballer and a fan of sports himself, was the father to Anna. Anna said that when her mother died, the primary reason why she decided to start golf was so that she could be closer to her dad and brother. But she realized soon that playing golf was something she truly enjoyed. Anna was a golfer to deal with her grief over her mother's passing. It helped her improve her game and enabled her passion to blossom into a passion initially, to develop into a career. Wow! Rawson attended St. Martin Boarding School and later completed her education through the homeschooling method. Anna acknowledges she made her decision to attend an academic institution because of her naivet and not logical reasoning. The weather was better in Immanuel College, in Southern Australia. The college had also received acceptances from Yale as well as Harvard. Anna later attended The University of Southern California, earning an All-Pac 10 honourable mention three times. This is a wonderful combination! The beauty and brains are the perfect match!
